What if the clothes and fabrics we already have became the starting point for something new?
Threads of Culture creates opportunities for people to swap, sew, repair, redesign and reuse clothing rather than allowing valuable textiles to become waste.
Alongside its environmental purpose, the programme creates access to equipment, practical skills, community participation and opportunities for makers to develop products and generate income.

Having an idea shouldn't depend on whether you can afford your own sewing machine.
Our developing shared-equipment programme is designed to make sewing and textile-making equipment more accessible to learners, community members, makers and emerging entrepreneurs.
Access can be offered through individual sessions, maker access and membership packages as the studio develops.
